What does Heating Mode (Priority / Comfort / Economy) actually do?

Heating Mode controls the balance between comfort and savings by defining how much the water is allowed to cool below your target temperature.
  • Priority
    • smallest allowed drop below target
    • highest comfort, most stable temperature
    • more frequent heating
  • Comfort
    • medium allowed drop
    • balance between comfort and savings
  • Economy
    • largest allowed drop
    • biggest temperature swings
    • highest potential savings
Both Planner Basic and Planner Dynamic use Heating Mode:
  • In Planner Basic, Heating Mode is part of the rule that decides if the water is “cold enough” to start heating.
  • In Planner Dynamic, Heating Mode defines the comfort band and is used in the cooling model to decide when the next heating period is needed.
If you feel the spa is too cold too often, move towards Priority.
If you want more savings and accept more variation, move towards Economy.
